This 3rd edition brings together underground bands, cult figures, experimental work and new voices across 50+ acts, where genres and disciplines mix, collide, and overlap.

Raw and intimate, with an idiosyncratic energy, Rubirock is a place to encounter the new and discover the unexpected.

Join us the last weekend of August for two days of live music, performance, DJs and visual art at Voetvolk Atelier Rubigny, spilling into the surrounding landscape and village.

Three different performances, in three different countries, in about as many days!

To Tanzsolofestival 🇩🇪 who hosted Tempest at Bundeskunsthalle with Theater im Ballsaal , to Sismògraf Olot 🇪🇸 who invited Nomadics into its landscape; and to Muziekcentrum De Bijloke Gent 🇧🇪 who welcomed ten children, jazz, and a stage full of colour with WASCO! — thank you all for your generosity and warm welcome.

Een groep kinderen, een paar dozen wasco’s, een grote voorraad verf, en jazz. Op de Vlaamse Dag van de Dans bouwen tien jonge performers tussen zes en twaalf jaar from scratch een wereld, ver van die van volwassenen. Met wasco’s en verfborstels in de hand dansen ze een universum op hun voorwaarden. Niet te missen!

« WASCO! », libérer l'enfance « WASCO! » réunit dix enfants au plateau, pour une explosion de couleurs, des cadres et des attendus de ce que devrait être, et produire, un enfant sur scène.

Nomadics returns to open Sismògraf Olot , a festival where landscape is understood as a physical, mental, and emotional setting, and as a place where things happen — a fitting frame for Nomadics.

We’ll hike with the audience through the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, its forests and wooded paths, arriving in Olot city at sunset, ending on the stage of Teatre Principal d’Olot, where the performance begins and a different landscape emerges.

“WASCO! shimmers and enchants” (De Standaard) and brings an extra splash of colour to Spring with this explosive action painting performance set to free jazz — “a glorious hour of art” (Theaterkrant), where ten young performers dance a universe into being with crayons and paint.

This month in France at 104 CENTQUATRE , then in the Netherlands at ChasséTheater , and in Belgium at Muziekcentrum De Bijloke Gent at the end of the month.
