RRBH Centres Season Kick-Off

The RRBH Centres have officially started their season, with all training sessions taking place successfully, followed by a mini festival generously sponsored by the Jwaneng Rugby Club.

A big thank you to Jwaneng Rugby Club for their continued support and commitment to youth rugby development. The festival provided a fantastic opportunity for the children to enjoy the game, have fun, and put their skills into practice in a positive and enjoyable environment.

Keeping our young players active, engaged, and continuously developing their rugby skills is extremely important. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, participation, and enjoyment from all the children involved.

Thank you to all the coaches, volunteers, parents, and supporters who contributed to making the day a success. We look forward to another exciting and rewarding season for all our RRBH Centres.

Women and Sport Botswana (WASBO) in Collaboration with the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) hereby announces that applications for the next Botswana Cohort for the AUSC Region 5 WLP is now open. On Saturday, 9th May, the Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) held a Women’s 15s alignment training session aimed at guiding and preparing players and coaches for the transition back to 15s rugby.

It was a productive and exciting day on the field, with coaches leading various sessions and outlining the key areas that need to be addressed as Botswana continues to rebuild and strengthen the women’s 15s game. The session also highlighted the growing global shift towards 15s rugby, with many teams around the world focusing on the format as part of long-term player and game development.

BRU is looking forward to the next training session and the rollout of women’s 15s matches within the league structure. The Union would like to commend all the players and coaches who attended and contributed towards the growth and development of women’s rugby in Botswana.
