Important Immigration Update for Employers, Employees & Investors

Changes introduced under the Immigration (Amendment) Regulations, 2026 have increased fees associated with work and immigration permits in Botswana.

The revised fees affect employee applicants and investors, including applications and permit renewals. Additional fees also apply in relation to lost or damaged documents and appeals.

The increased fees are now in effect.

Businesses employing foreign nationals, as well as individuals and investors navigating Botswana’s immigration processes, should take note of these changes and ensure that they understand the applicable requirements and costs.
