🇧🇼 Botswana had two officials officiating at the 2026 French Open, Ms Gaone Poane and Ms Kessie France Ketletseng represented Botswana as officials at the 2026 Roland Garros.

Botswana Tennis Association is proud of the two ladies representing Botswana in officiating at the Grandslams.This represent the progress that our officials have made locally and in the International Tennis tournaments.

Mark Nawa has committed to play for North Carolina Central University.

🚨 BREAKING: Auburn-Montgomery (D2) transfer Mark Nawa has committed to North Carolina Central, sources tell CTN. The sophomore from Gaborone, Botswana went 7–4 at No. 6 singles for the Warhawks this season. He also clinched the match against D2 powerhouse Mississippi College last month and represents Botswana on the Davis Cup team.

Patrick Selepe-Mathole (Wheelchair Manager at Tennis South Africa) paid a courtesy visit to Botswana Tennis Association this weekend, his visit entailed conducting a training session for kids in Gaborone and Ramotswa. He also held meetings with Botswana Tennis Association Technical committee about Wheelchair tennis development in Botswana.

🇧🇼 Ekua Youri has been honored with an Athlete of the Year Award by Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table, for the year 25/26. Ekua led the Gauchos to win Big West Conference Championships.

The next local tournament will be hosted in Francistown by Banana Tennis Club at the end of this month.

Camila Seetso is playing the ITF/CAT 14& under tournaments in Mauritius, the first tournament started yesterday and will run until Wednesday 3rd June 2025, the second one will start on Thursday 4th-7th June 2026.We wish her the best of luck on the two tournaments.

The City of Francistown hosted the🎾 Francistown junior open this weekend, this tournament was played by over 100 players, coaches and parents from Serowe, Gaborone, Oodi, Orapa, Palapye, Moeng, Tutume, Selibe Phikwe and Maun.The tournaments categories was made up of 10, 12,14 and 18 & under ages.

🇧🇼 Botswana Tennis Association will be hosting Billie Jean king cup tournament Africa Group 3 from 13th-18th July 2026🎾

•This tournament will increase women's participation in tennis in Botswana.

•This Group will have NCAA Collegiate players, Grand slam players, Jr Grandslams winners.

• This tournament is an addition to the Sports Tourism Ecosystem.
