Some dance history. This is a blast from my past. I was 15 years old. I’m the one with the short hair in the middle of the photo (below the bird house). We had a great trip to California with Miss Arlene Bain and my fellow dance friends.

Dancing in the Park, 1979

Members of the Bain School of Dancing perform at City Hall Park in downtown Red Deer in July 1979 before departing for California, where they were scheduled to attend a workshop at the University of California, perform at Disneyland, and compete in the San Diego Highland Games.

The photograph was taken in City Hall Park, with several familiar downtown landmarks visible in the background, including the old Court House and the Telus Building.
