We are SO excited to announce our Elevate Summer Intensive Guest Teachers for this year! Joining us this summer is the wonderful Natalka Lewis! ✨💙

Humans first, dancers second. This is something I believe deeply to my bones and that I integrate into my therapeutic work and in the dance studios I work in. I consider myself very lucky to practice at the intersection of dance/arts and mental health. I offer a uniquely specialized approach that bridges professional counselling and the performing arts. With extensive professional experience and training in both disciplines, I am able to support dancers and performers with a depth of understanding that few practitioners are positioned to provide. My early dance training took place in Calgary, AB in both folk and mainstream dance genres. I completed my BA in Dance (Contemporary with a specialization in Ballet) from the University of Calgary & Alberta Ballet School. Working as a professional freelance dance artist and choreographer gave me a breadth of experience and knowledge to draw from when I work with artists. My own journey through dance forged a path that deeply shaped how I understand embodiment, expression, and healing. As a dance educator & a certified Cecchetti ballet teacher (AD-CC-CICB), I take great pride in training my students holistically. I hold my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and I have been practicing as a psychotherapist since 2019. 

I am a neurodiversity-affirming practitioner and bring both lived experience and practical tools to my work with people with ADHD. As an ADHD mom who has navigated my own embodiment journeys (and who still wrestles with perfectionism at times), I understand how layered and non-linear healing can be. Outside of work, I love being in nature, practicing yoga, drinking coffee, and embracing my weakness for artisan donuts. I am in my homebody era, enjoying time with my very busy toddler, my partner, and our whippet.

Kieran Macdonald is a dynamic, New York City-based dance artist, choreographer, and creative, represented by MSA Talent Agency. Originally from Paisley, Scotland, and Edmonton, Alberta. Kieran’s extensive dance background includes an International Baccalaureate Dance Diploma and intensive
training at the Joffrey Ballet School (New York). His professional career has been significantly shaped by
mentorship from esteemed industry leaders such as Ray Leeper, Dana Foglia, Stacey Tookey, and Sarah Dolan.

Macdonald has held notable creative roles, serving as Assistant Choreographer for Alanis Morissette’s Las
Vegas Residency (Caesars Palace), Associate Choreographer and Dance Captain for Grease (MGM Beau Rivage), and Creative Director for the latest Christmas In The Air Nat’l tour.

His diverse performance career includes touring as Dance Captain and Swing on the Nat’l tour of Cats the musical, where he covered all male ensemble roles (including understudying Mistoffelees) and maintained by Andy Blankenbuehler’s choreography. He has performed alongside best-selling recording artists Alessia Cara and Shawn Hook and participated in workshopping material with Sean Cheeseman for The Prince of Egypt on London’s West End.

Kieran’s commercial credits include a global campaign with the fashion house Gucci and a performance at Paleyfest for the Amazon Prime Original, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. His artistic achievements have been featured in publications like Dance Teacher Magazine and DanceLife Australia.

We are SO excited to announce our Elevate Summer Intensive Guest Teachers for this year! Joining us this summer is the fantastic Francesca Vairo! ✨💙

Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Francesca Vairo is a focused, driven, and passionate dancer and choreographer, with 20 years of dance training in tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz funk, hip hop, commercial, musical theatre, and acro — specializing in tap. She has created unique, award winning choreography. She has proven ability to motivate and mentor dancers to reach their highest potential.

Francesca has worked closely with and taken classes from many world renowned choreographers such as, Sarah Reich, Kevin Howe, Tara Jean Popowich, Everett Smith, Cartier Williams, Jason Janas, Brenda Bufalino, and Dianne Walker, to name a few. In 2017 she started working with Everett Smith (So You Think You Can Dance Canada finalist) one on one. Currently working in mentorship with Sarah Reich (Sarah Reich Tap Music Project).

She has worked with Kim Chalovich (Tap Dance Centre) to receive her TDC – Tap Dance Centre Syllabus Certification.

Her goal is to inspire every dancer that steps foot into her classes. She is excited to continue sharing her passion through teaching for years to come.
