The boys battled hard in a tough round robin, going 2-1 to lock down 2nd place in their pool and punch their ticket to the quarterfinals. While our run came to an end against a strong Sarnia Pacers squad in a hard-fought battle, we couldn't be prouder of how these kids represented our town.

From the packed stands cheering every ground ball to the parents, families, and fans who brought the noise game after game, this team showed what happens when a whole community rallies behind the bench. They embodied true and from the first whistle to the last.

Walking away with a top-8 finish, a hard-earned quarterfinal run, and an amazing group of supporters cheering them on? That’s what it’s all about. Thank you to our incredible lacrosse family for making this season unforgettable. Way to leave it all out there, boys! 💖👊🏆

The U11-1 Pickering Ironheads left absolutely everything they had on the floor at Provincials this weekend!

The boys came out firing on all cylinders, going undefeated in the round robin to show the province what they were made of. They kept that momentum rolling straight into a massive win in the quarterfinals, proving their skill and determination under pressure.

In the semifinals, they battled in an absolute nail-biter against top-tier competition, ultimately falling just one goal short of the championship game. While it stings to come that close, the heartbreak doesn't overshadow the triumph of this weekend.

Every single shift, every loose ball, and every battle along the boards showed the true meaning of and . This team played with passion and made our entire organization proud.

The U17 Pickering Ironheads’ Provincial run was a roller coaster of pure heart, resilience, and unforgettable lacrosse.

They kicked things off with a fantastic round-robin performance, going 2-1. But numbers only tell part of the story. That single loss? It was an absolute statement of character. Facing a steep 7-3 deficit, the boys mounted an incredible comeback, scoring three unanswered goals in the 3rd period and completely shutting down the competition. It wasn’t just a game; it was a masterclass in what our program is all about.

Carrying that fierce momentum to their final round robin game and on into the quarterfinals, they went toe-to-toe in a heavyweight battle, trading blows goal for goal. Both teams left every single ounce of energy out on the floor, but when the final buzzer sounded, our boys came up just one goal short of advancing.

While the scoreboard didn't swing our way at the end, the pride in this team runs deeper than any medal. To the players: thank you for showing the province the true meaning of and . You battled until the final second, represented our town with everything you had, and made our entire community proud. Heads high, boys—what a run!

As another incredible season comes to a close, the U11-2 Pickering Ironheads demonstrated exactly what it means to bring true Ironheads grit and Rockmen heart to the Provincial Championship. Every time these young athletes stepped onto the floor, they represented our community with tireless determination, passion, and unwavering sportsmanship.

While the tournament scoreboard wrapped up at 0-2-1, those numbers only scratch the surface of this team's character. Reflecting on the weekend, Coach Steve shared, "Always helping each other even through the losses. We also literally came back and played our best game of the year to finish the season. A group of kids with less years experience in the game vs number of players on the team lol." That grit shone brightest in their final game, going toe-to-toe with a fierce opponent that had previously defeated the teams we lost to earlier in the weekend, and fighting back through sheer hustle to earn a hard-fought tie.

At its core, being an Ironhead is about far more than just the game on the floor; it is about building a strong, supportive community together. The most memorable moments of the weekend took place off the floor, spent bonding as one big family and enjoying a fantastic team brunch by the lake between games. Moments like these remind us that lacrosse brings us together, but the lifelong friendships and shared memories are what truly make our community special.

The team put on a powerhouse performance by going undefeated through a dominant Round Robin, before sailing right through the quarter-finals with fierce energy and smart play. The excitement peaked in a nail-biting semi-final where the squad dug deep to secure an unforgettable victory in overtime. In the championship final, they faced a tough Whitby team and fought hard until the very end, ultimately coming up just short in an inspiring battle.

We are beyond proud of all they accomplished, not just the scoreboard results, but the sportsmanship, resilience, and the amazing little lacrosse players they have grown into this season.

Our U13-2 team has officially wrapped up an absolutely unforgettable Provincial weekend. This squad dug deep right from the start, battling through the round-robin undefeated with two ties and a win to secure their playoff spot.

What happened next was pure Ironheads magic. In a heart-pounding quarter-final battle, the boys executed an epic play to score the game winning goal with just 9 seconds left on the clock to advance!

The semi-final was an absolute war. Going goal-for-goal against a tough opponent, our boys showed ultimate Ironheads grit and Rockmen heart, forcing a short and intense overtime period that unfortunately just didn’t go our way.

While it’s a bittersweet way to end, this provincials proved exactly what this team is made of. They left their hearts on the floor, fought for each other until the final buzzer, and showed incredible growth all weekend long.

We win together, we learn together, and we build together. Thank you to the incredible coaches, families, and fans who roared from the stands all season. Hold your heads high, boys, you gave us a weekend we will never forget!

While the journey ended earlier than we wanted in the quarter-finals, we couldn’t be prouder of the heart and determination this team brought to the floor every single day.
