✨ Meet Keystone Centre’s new Marketing Manager, Shelly Thompson!

Big ideas, bold coffee and plenty of positive energy, Shelly is ready to help tell the stories that make Keystone Centre such a special part of our community.

A few things to know about Shelly:

🎶 Arena walk-up song: “One of These Nights” by the Eagles—or “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey. Positivity has always been her guiding theme.

☕ Coffee order: Strong, bold dark roast with a shot of espresso. Her rocket fuel.

💃 Hidden talent: Dancing…although she describes her moves as a little reminiscent of Elaine from Seinfeld.

🎡 Favourite Keystone event: The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair. Shelly grew up attending as a kid from Baldur, and it has remained woven into her media life throughout her eight years in Brandon.

Brandon is officially bringing the TELUS Cup home! 🏒🏆

Yesterday, it was announced that Brandon has been selected to host the 2027 TELUS Cup, Canada’s National Men’s U18 Club Championship, right here at the Keystone Centre.

The U18 AAA Brandon Wheat Kings will take the ice as the host team, welcoming the best U18 clubs from across the country to Brandon for an unforgettable week of hockey.

A huge congratulations to everyone whose hard work helped bring this national championship to our city. We cannot wait to welcome teams, families and fans from across Canada in 2027!

🚨TELUS Cup Host Committee Chair and Executive Team Announced

Brandon, MB – July 31, 2026 – Following yesterday’s announcement that Brandon and the Keystone Centre will host the 2027 TELUS Cup, Canada’s National U18 Men’s Club Championship, the Keystone Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Trotter as Chair of the Local Host Organizing Committee, along with the executive team that will help lead planning for the national championship.
