Creative Edge has the objective of providing updated teaching techniques and choreography to dancers in a positive manner. Auditions for our Competitive Team are held from May-August. Please request an audition by email at [email protected] to set up an appointment with an Artistic Director. WHAT WE OFFER AT CREATIVE EDGE

Dance Styles: Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, Acrobatics, Break Dance, Creative Movement (age 2 1/2), Adult Classes, Recreational, Competitive, Part Time Competitive & Drop In! Open/Drop-in Classes: Drop in clases are dedicated to dancers who would like to be challenged Open classes are for dancers who are looking to have fun, stay healthy and exercise without having to perform at a year end show. These classes are available in Jazz Technique, Lyrica, Acrobratics and Hip Hop for ages 10 and up. Performance Classes: This is a Recreational Program that offers a unique variety of classes. Enjoy dance sessions in every genre at a leisurely pace. From kids (starting at age 3) to adults, learn the basics in technique while having fun and getting a good workout. These classes are dedicated to dancers who are either just beginning the art form or do not wish to be in a competitive environment, but still love to perform as edgy dancers!! This program is set out to further a dancer’s abilities, allowing them to gain experience performing on a stage, as well as experience what it is like to be a part of team. In these classes dancers will learn commitment, teamwork, time management and social skills that will set the stage for their future. Performing Company: The Performing Company consists of dancers who love to perform and compete in a positive and fun environment. These dancers will be trained to fully execute their talents as dancers and prepare them to become a part of the professional world of dance. Our aim is to inspire creativity, build confidence, and above all provide a well-rounded and technically strong program for our dancers. All our competitive students must have excellent work ethic & punctuality. They must act respectful & friendly at all times. Street Dance Program: This is a program designed and dedicated to hip hop and street dancers who want a competitive edge! These dancers are integrated with our Creative Company and given technical training. They are part-time competitive students who have not yet had the chance to train in a positive, competitive studio environment. This program helps these dancers learn all types of dance in a safe and positive atmosphere. NEW: Part Time and Pre Competitive Program (Starting at age 4)

✨FACULTY ANNOUNCEMENT✨ We are beyond excited to welcome Alyssa Aceti to the CE Competitive Faculty!

More about Alyssa!

Alyssa Aceti is a dynamic and dedicated choreographer based in the GTA. She found her passion for dance at only two years old and has since completed her formal training with Pure Rhythm Dance Company in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, hip-hop, lyrical, and improvisation. Alyssa’s choreography has earned many awards, including top discipline scores, judges’ choice genre awards, top concept awards, and overall adjudication honours awards at national competitions. She has toured with several Canadian-based dance conventions in recent years and continues to educate at multiple elite dance studios across Ontario. She has had the honour of choreographing for two of Fever After Dark’s most recent events: ‘THROWBACKS’ & ‘REMIX’
and continues to expand into the different pockets of the dance world. Additionally, Alyssa has had the honour of representing Canada at the IDO finals, leading McMaster’s varsity dance team as captain, working with local theatre programs & for school board dance events & teaching adult drop-in classes under City Dance Corps. As a certified adjudicator with the Professional Adjudicators Alliance of Canada, she brings a sharp, experienced eye to the competitive dance scene. Passionate about inspiring young dancers, Alyssa emphasizes authenticity, resilience, and a commitment to pushing beyond limits to achieve personal growth
in every class she leads.
