Stampede 7's 2026 was one for the books!

We were proud to host two incredible days of rugby at our park July 3rd & 4th, as the tournament brought supporters from across the community out in their best western wear. The pitches were buzzing, the stands were packed, and Calgary rugby showed up in full force.

Huge thanks to the organizers, players, fans, volunteers, and sponsors who made it all happen, we were honoured to have you on our home turf. Yeehaw and see you next year!

Last week, SARU had the honour of hosting the Canadian Men’s Rugby Team here on our fields! Watching high-performance athletes train up close was a huge treat for our community.

We also hosted a fantastic coaches session, bringing together our local coaching community for a valuable learning experience. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a success!

To the Canadian Men’s Team, thank you for your time, your generosity with our community, and for inspiring the next generation of players. We’ll be cheering you on at the upcoming Nations Cup!

Huge congratulations to the Holy Goats U13 Girls, your Southern Alberta Champions!

What a fantastic final against Canucks/Saracens/Irish. Both teams left everything on the field and showed what youth rugby is all about.

This is such an exciting milestone for our game. We’ve gone from festival-style Saturdays to a true championship final, showing just how much girls’ rugby is growing in Southern Alberta. The future of our rugby community is bright, and these athletes are leading the way.

There’s still lots of rugby to be played today, so come down to the park and be part of the action. Everyone is welcome!

Saturday is a rugby day, and we’re kicking things off strong!

The U13 Girls Finals are taking centre stage on CRP1.

After two outstanding semi-finals, Holy Goats and Canucks/Irish/Saracens have earned their places in the final with impressive wins over Hornets and Lions/BV.

Who will take home the cup?

The action doesn’t stop there. The fields are full all day with:

* Rugby Canada Men’s XV on site
* AC game
* Division 2 Men’s rugby
* Gypsy’s visiting from the USA

From our youngest players to senior rugby, today is a celebration of the game and the incredible community that surrounds it. Come out, cheer on the teams, enjoy a full day of rugby, and be part of an amazing atmosphere at CRP.
