Calgary BMX Racing is a 100% Canadian owned and operated not-for-profit sport association who, for over the past 30 years, has been organized and run by its dedicated volunteers. BMX Racing is an extreme summer sport for the entire family to enjoy where every rider, regardless of skill level, participates and competes. Mission
Dedicated to providing children and adults within the Calgary area a high-quality level of local, provincial and national bicycling sport racing involvement. Vision
To be honest and ethical ambassadors of the sport of BMX Racing and to continually provide a safe, friendly and supportive environment to build individual character and confidence through healthy competition and cooperation. Calgary BMX Racing is sanctioned by the Canadian Cycling Association (CCA) and follows all International Cycling Union (UCI) standards and rules for BMX Racing enforced through the Alberta Bicycling Association (ABA).

Thank you to all the members who attended our AGM on the weekend, and a big welcome to our newest board members:

All CALGARY BMX MEMBERS, please remember to mark your calendars for our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING on October 17th at 5:30 pm.

The AGM provides members with the chance to participate in determining the direction of Calgary BMX's future, with opportunities to review current and proposed bylaws, discuss the 2026 season, and vote on the 2027 Board of Directors. Additional details were sent via email in late September - if you did not receive this email or require it to be re-sent to you ahead of the meeting, please contact [email protected] or respond to this post.

If you intended to run for one of our open board positions, please feel free to reach out to our current board members for additional details regarding the commitment and position requirements.

As the days get shorter and the weather gets chillier, we're sad to say this week will be the last open track event of 2026. Please join us on Wednesday for a few final laps before the snow falls!

And don't forget to join us on Saturday, October 17, for our AGM to learn what's happened this year at Calgary BMX and have your say in the future of our club. We look forward to seeing you then!
