Oliver started playing tennis at the age of 6 through his community centre programs which helped nurture his love for competition. He came to Aforza seeking to be around a higher level of players and coaches so he could further develop his game.
What Oliver loves most about the club is that he feels everyone is here to help improve and bring out the best in each other. Some notable accomplishments in the past year from Oliver include a 4-star U18 doubles title, a finalist appearance at the Casely international championships, and making the round of 16 in the Calgary J100 ITF!
Oliver seeks to get as much high level competition as he can in the next couple years, which will help him pursue his ultimate goal of playing college tennis in the future!
The path is bright for you Oliver, we can’t wait to see all the things the future has in store for you! 🤩

This week’s academy update features elite junior Yassine Ghazouani! 👏
Yassine began playing tennis at the age of 7 when he lived in Tunisia, and fell in love right away. He came to Aforza because he liked the environment, and felt like he had a family here. He believes that everyone helps push each other to their limits and that helps him improve.
Yassine is currently aiming to win a J30 ITF in doubles, and continue earning himself ITF ranking points. While long term, he aims to continue his career after high school by playing college tennis in the states on a scholarship.
Your passion and heart are going to carry you a long way, never give that up Yassine 💪
