Because the truth is, that’s all I ever hope to do.
As a coach. As a mom. As a woman.

Not be perfect.
Not have it all figured out.
Not motivate thousands.

Just maybe help one person become 1% better than they were yesterday.
Maybe remind someone that movement doesn’t have to look perfect to matter.
Maybe show another mom that choosing yourself for even 20 minutes still counts.

And it also reminded me how powerful our words can be.
Because that one simple comment filled my cup more than she probably realized.

I think this all the time when I see someone out walking, running, lifting, biking, chasing their kids around the park…
“Good for you. You chose YOU in this moment.” ❤️

You never know how much a little encouragement can mean to someone.

Weekend "what I ate in a day" as a mom... on a calorie deficit 👏

And no, it wasn’t perfectly portioned chicken and broccoli all day long 😅

We spent the morning at our local amusement park (which is dangerously close to our house), so the day started simple:
🥣 Yogurt bowl for breakfast before heading out.

I packed a bunch of snacks for everyone, and for myself I grabbed:
✔️Protein Bar
✔️Zero sugar gingerale
✔️Water bottle

I knew we'd be home for lunch in time to get my son down for his nap, so I didn’t need to stress about eating perfectly while we were out.

Lunch was a high fiber breakfast wrappers because honestly... eggs hit at any time of the day 🌯 (one egg, extra egg whites!)

Late afternoon I had an apple to keep my blood sugar balanced and get me over that 3pm slump. Not a huge snack, because I knew dinner was going to be a bit heavier.

And dinner?
🥩 Steak
🥔 Mashed Potatoes
🫛 Peas

Nothing fancy. Just realistic, filling, yummy food that I enjoy.

The Macros for the day: ⚖️
1701 Cals
103g Protein
140g Carbs
81g Fat
40g Fiber

This is your reminder that fat loss doesn't have to mean skipping family outings, eating boring meals, or living off salads. It's about balance, planning ahead, and consistency over perfection 💛

Mother's Day! 🌹
Austin, being your mom has been the greatest, most beautiful chapter of my life. 🤍

The days are long, messy, loud, exhausting, magical, and somehow never long enough all at once.
This past year has been filled with tiny hands reaching for mine, belly laughs, cuddles, adventures, snack crumbs, sleepy hugs, and moments I wish I could freeze forever.

You made me a mama, but more than that… you made me softer, stronger, more patient, more present, and more grateful than I ever knew possible.

I hope one day you know how deeply loved you are.
Every single day, in every little moment. 🤍

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, grandmas, stepmoms, aunts, and women loving big every day. 💐

There’s something really special about this race every year. 🩷

It’s not just about the 5km.
It’s the feeling of thousands of women showing up together — moms, daughters, grandmas, friends, families — all moving for something bigger than themselves.

The Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run supports neonatal care in Alberta, helping give newborn babies and their families access to the care and support they need most. As a mom, that means a lot to me.

So grateful to be part of something that feels equal parts empowering, emotional, and community-filled. ✨

Now excuse me while I pretend I went only for my race package and not to look at workout clothes too. 😂
