I took a short video of the log barge during our paddle yesterday to try and capture the immensity and seeming precarious balance of the logs. As you can appreciate, taking a video while paddling is also a balancing act. 😁 From a distance, we could see a big plume of black smoke and had no idea where it was coming from--it was from the crane that was on the barge.

Our club had an adventure paddle today--one crew paddled 18.5 kms to Chemainus, where we were met by the 2nd crew, who paddled the outrigger back to Maple Bay. A great way to end the Summer.

An adventure paddle. Today we loaded up an OC6 and OC2 and spent the day paddling at Lake Cowichan. About 18 kms with a break for a picnic and swim. A perfect day!
