We are always honoured to award our prestigious MICHELLE SMITH SCHOLARSHIP!!

Michelle was a student at Dance Discovery for over a decade. A talented dancer who inspired everyone around her, she was determined to be the very best she could be, both on and off the dance floor. Michelle approached every challenge with determination, grace, and resilience, leading by example through her positivity and encouragement. Her passion, kindness, and unwavering spirit left a lasting impact on her dance family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Each season, Dance Discovery along with the Smith family, awards a student the MICHELLE SMITH SCHOLARSHIP. This scholarship is given in her memory to a student who embodies the same dedication, focus and fearlessness that Michelle demonstrated.

It is an honour to award LAYLA GARA as the recipient for the 2025/2026 season.

The Passion for Performance Award is presented to a dancer from our Performance Team who exemplifies unwavering dedication, commitment, and focus. This dancer approaches every rehearsal and performance with enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a genuine love of learning. They consistently put their best foot forward, embrace opportunities for growth, and inspire those around them through their positive attitude and determination.

What a weekend!! ON THE FLOOR was the perfect way to wrap up regionals. This entire weekend was about celebrating our routines and performing with full hearts — and wow, did each and every one of you deliver.

The energy, encouragement, and excitement all came together to create absolute rockstar performances that were pure entertainment. We are so incredibly proud of this team.

Our performances are never about the awards. They’re about challenging ourselves to be better every single time we step out there, and what an amazing life skill that is.

We walk away from this regional season with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and a whole lot of hardware 😉

Congratulations dancers, teachers and families! We are tiny but mighty and our kingdom truly comes together to make this all happen 🖤🤍🖤

It’s going to be a very busy and exciting last few weeks of the season, but now it’s time to relax, recharge, and hopefully enjoy some time outdoors with family and friends… weather permitting 🌧️💨☀️😂

We will be closed May 15-18 for the May Long Weekend, with classes resuming Tuesday, May 19.

Here’s hoping Mother Nature surprises us with at least a little patio weather. Have a safe, fun, and cozy long weekend everyone!
