Leaving the mixer, I told Valencia and Sweetieblue that I’ve always wanted to be part of a group where we truly felt like a unit.
For so much of my life, I’ve been part of things without ever feeling like I fully belonged. Espresso has been a dream, but more than that, it has become a community I never knew I needed. The love I have for these beans is immeasurable, and the love I receive back is healing parts of me that people never even knew were broken.
We walked. We joked. We laughed. We connected. And it reminded me exactly why I do this.
I am SO stinking excited to share the stage with a cast that means the absolute world to me.
Talented. Passionate. Ambitious.
Pretty much the recipe for the Spice Girls. 😂
But if I get sappy once, I’ll get sappy again.
I’m so, so blessed. 🥹
And if you’ve ever felt like you didn’t quite belong, this show is for you.
It’s a little protest against societal norms. It’s about empowering each other, celebrating individuality, and making inclusive sexy.
This is literally a dream come true, and the cherry on top would be seeing a crowd come out to celebrate all the love, sweat, creativity, and work that went into this masterpiece. 🥹☕️

Successful first show! ❤️
I want to take a moment to thank one of my favourite Toronto producers, Adam from Neuro Hilarity. Adam introduced me as a performer in the Fringe last year and has been such an incredible support and cheerleader ever since.
I absolutely love seeing kindness and support within the performing arts community, and Adam shares a similar mission of making performing more accessible. Neuro Hilarity highlights neurodivergent performers, and it’s genuinely so empowering and beautiful to see more artists being given the opportunity to share what they love.
And let me tell you, this is one of the kindest casts I know. They deserve SO much love and support. ❤️

Espresso had the privilege of joining Carmelion in the Cariwest Parade! 🇨🇦🌴✨
As someone with Barbados roots, it was such a beautiful and meaningful experience to celebrate Caribbean culture, community, music, and dance. 🇧🇧💃🏽
I’m so grateful to have been able to share this moment with Espresso and be part of such an incredible celebration of Caribbean culture right here in Edmonton. ❤️💛💚🖤
