Great Night for our Club at the 2022 Northwest Alberta Sport Excellence Awards! Congratulations to Sydney Kinderwater and Nikita Tsyruk who were the winners! Sydney won Female Athlete of the year and Nikita won Junior Male Athlete of the year! They could not be present as they are both away competing. Very proud of them! Thank you to Grande Prairie Regional Sport Connection for organizing this great event!

Congratulations to My daughter Michelle who met all the requirements to become a black belt and presented her exam last weekend in Calgary! A big thanks to her Sensei Gord Okamura and Sensei Kelly Palmer and her Judo partners at her new Judo Club at the University of Alberta,who prepared her to achieve this goal. This has been a great and long journey since she was six years old. There has been lots of travelling, memories, victories, defeats and amazing goals achieved. Congratulations!

Since there was more people than usual at the club last night, for testing tonight I will provide more space for public viewing and hand sanitizer at the entrance. Congratulations to Sydney for her fifth place at the 2021 Quebec Open this weekend in Montreal.After almost 2 years without competition she found her way up to semifinals after winning two fights on her first participation in a Senior division.

Hi everyone!
Tomorrow Sydney Kinderwater will be competing at the Quebec Open.
She travelled on Thursday to Montreal to meet with the rest of Team Alberta.
She will be fighting seniors division in -63 kg tomorrow morning. See below link where you can see her fight live!
