Guelph Soccer is proud to congratulate Kai Tomlin on his commitment to the Niagara College Knights! 🥳🎉

Kai was part of our University Prep Program, a pilot high-performance training environment launched last year to help prepare players with the goal of competing at the varsity level.
 
Seeing Kai take the next step in his soccer journey is an exciting milestone for both him and the program, and a great example of what the University Prep Program was created to support.
 
Congratulations, Kai! We’re incredibly proud of your hard work and dedication and look forward to supporting you as you begin this next chapter with the Knights! 👏

Our Boys U14 Black team competed in the AC Douglas Tournament in Niagara this past weekend.
 
The team put together an outstanding run, winning all three games in the tournament while scoring 7 goals and conceding none. They carried that momentum into the final, battling to a 1–1 draw before ultimately falling just short in a penalty shootout.
 
While the result wasn’t what they hoped for, finishing second place after such a strong tournament is something to be proud of. 👏 Congratulations to all of our players and coaches on a fantastic tournament! 🎉🎊

For U8-U13 new players only, these sessions provide an opportunity to experience our Grassroots Development Program and be evaluated by Guelph Soccer’s coaching and technical staff.
 
Identification sessions will take place August 23rd–27th, with dates, times, and locations varying by age group.

This weekend, our Girls U14 Black team competed in the 28th Annual Cameron Memorial Soccer Tournament in Trenton, ON.

The team went undefeated in pool play with two wins and a draw before advancing through the playoffs with back-to-back 1-0 victories over Peterborough City iModel and Darlington Rush to claim the championship! 🏆 Congratulations girls!!! 🥳🎊

What a memorable weekend for our Guelph Soccer Boys U17 team at the Tiamo Cup in St. Catharines!

The team went undefeated throughout the weekend, earning three wins before a fourth match was called early due to severe weather conditions. Although the tournament had to be called earlier, our Boys U17 still took home the championship! Congratulations boys on a well deserved win!!🏆🥳🎊

Congratulations to our Boys U16 Academy team on an outstanding weekend at the Champions Showcase in Ottawa! ⚽👏
 
The team finished the tournament undefeated, winning all four matches against strong, high-level competition to claim the championship title. CONGRATS BOYS 💪🙌🥇 well deserved!!
 
Our Girls U16 Academy team also had a fantastic weekend at the Canada Youth Cup in Halifax! 👏
 
The team finished at the top of their bracket after an outstanding group stage performance. While the weekend didn’t end with the result they were hoping for, finishing fourth is an achievement they should be incredibly proud of. Beyond the results, the team made lasting memories together, explored Halifax, and continued to grow both on and off the field.

Congratulations to all the players and coaches on representing Guelph Soccer with pride, determination, and teamwork! 🎉👏

Congratulations to our Girls U17 team who brought home the gold medal from the Challenge Brossard Tournament this past weekend! 👏🥇
 
The team put together an incredible tournament performance, finishing undefeated with 4 wins and 1 draw, while scoring 15 goals and conceding zero throughout the entire competition. They were the only team in the tournament to keep a clean sheet across all games! Congratulations to the players and coaches on this well-deserved achievement! 🥳🙌🎊

⚽🍟 McDonald’s Teams of the Month! 🍟⚽

For the month of July, we are excited to recognize two teams who have continued to demonstrate commitment, growth, and excellence throughout the season.

🏆 Boys U16 - Academy Team
The Boys U16 Academy team continues to set a high standard within the academy program. The team completed the qualification phase of their iModel season undefeated for the second consecutive year, showcasing their teamwork, resilience, and continued progress. The group also embraced every opportunity to grow together, including their participation in our Residency Camps, where they built connections, challenged themselves, and had a great experience on and off the field.

🏆 Girls U14 - Academy Team
The Girls U14 Academy team has had an outstanding season thus far, winning both the Robbie and the Quebec City Tournament while also advancing to the quarter-finals of the Ontario Cup. Their commitment, teamwork, and competitive mindset have been evident throughout the season!

Congratulations to all players and coaches on this well-deserved recognition! 👏 Your hard work, dedication, and passion for the game continue to make us proud.
