Well that was “fun” - 30min OALC w 24kg (half way there….. Few days ago i did a 15min lift and held between 12-13rpm. For this lift the focus wasn’t about how many reps I could do but more so get through the lift as I’m pretty sure I’ve never done 30min before. Held a solid 11rpm for majority of lift (some 10s crept in but that was me missing reps/losing a bit of focus). Tried out a new app I’ve seen a few other Kettlebellers and it was great. Counts the reps for you so all you have to do is count. 60min is the goal, real question now is do I lift in my flats or lifting shoes 🤔🤔🤔

Coming in to yesterday I wasn’t sure if I would end up doing this lift. After completing a OA Pentathlon to start the day plus hosting a competition the option to drop out was definitely there.
Happy I needed up lifting, my goal going in was 50 reps, ended up hitting 48. First 3’ maintained the 10rpm needed but the heat and I think overall fatigue kicked in so last 2min dropped down to 9rpm. This is a personal best in 5’ with the 24s so that was big plus this also is the 2nd requirement for the KettlebellWorldLeagueIKO Level 3 certification hitting rank 1 on their table. Now time to rest and reset for a few weeks and then refocus for IKMF SCOTLAND

Stop blaming your body.

Most people don’t fail at mobility because they’re “too tight.” They fail because they’re making one (or more) of these common mistakes.

How many apply to you? 👀

This week, I’m trying something a little different.

For the next 7 days, I’m doing a fruit-focused challenge and paying close attention to how my body responds.

I’m curious to see:
🍉 How my energy changes.
🍓 How my workouts feel.
🍌 How my digestion responds.
🍍 Whether my cravings change.
🍇 How my mood and focus are affected.

And before anyone asks… No, I’m not worried about the sugar. 😄 That’s part of the experiment too. I’m interested in seeing how my body responds rather than making assumptions.

This isn’t about chasing a magic solution or saying everyone should eat this way. It’s simply a personal experiment to learn more about how my body responds to a different way of eating.

I’ll be sharing the highs, the lows, and everything in between throughout the week. No filters. No hype. Just honest observations.

What do you think I’ll notice first? More energy? Better recovery? Or will I be dreaming about peanut butter by Day 3? 😂

Follow along and let’s find out together!

Why I Make Mobility Part of My Life (Not Just My Workouts)
Mobility isn’t about fancy stretches or doing the splits.
For me, it’s about moving well for life.
I do mobility because I want to
✅ move my joints the way they’re meant to
✅ reduce aches and stiffness
✅ improve strength, technique, and performance
Mobility isn’t just for athletes or rehab—it’s for anyone who wants to keep doing what they love.
Strong muscles matter.
Mobile joints matter.
Controlling both? That’s the goal.
Even 5–10 minutes a day can make a big difference.
Your future self will thank you.
💬 What movement feels stiff for you right now?

Long post… But worth the read.

Is this me performing a handstand? Maybe… maybe not.

That’s the thing about Instagram and social media—we often only see what people want us to see.

What you’re actually seeing is the beginning of my journey back to where I once was.

There was a time when I practiced handstands 4–5 days a week. Holding a handstand for 30–45 seconds had become the norm, and I was even working toward handstand push-ups.

Then February came, and I had eye surgery. For a while, handstands weren’t an option.

One month turned into two. Two became three. Before I knew it, six months had passed.

Now I’m finally ready to begin again—but this time, I’m starting from the beginning.

Sound familiar?

So many people have experienced something similar. An illness. An injury. A demanding job. A busy family life. Kids. Life simply gets in the way.

As a trainer, I’ve heard these stories countless times, and I understand the fear, the uncertainty, and the hesitation that comes with starting over.

But here’s what I’ve learned: the hardest part is taking that first step.

Progress isn’t about where you used to be—it’s about having the courage to begin again.

Whether your goal is to lose weight, get stronger, run your first 5K, or simply feel healthier, remember that every expert was once a beginner, and every comeback starts with a single step.

We are stronger than we give ourselves credit for.

You can start again.
You can rebuild.
You can succeed.

Let’s get started.

Need help getting started or getting back on track? Send me a DM. I’d love to help you build a plan that works for you.

Been a minute since I did a full training day focused on long cycle and at the time feeling good with where I’m at for my Pentathalon so thought do a “fun” LC Ladder. Lifts were 90sec on/90sec off working with 16/17/20/21/24/25/28/29 and last set best set 32kg. Not sure what I was thinking but last set defiddd to go for 2min with the 32s (been a while since I last did this) 10 solid reps. 2min omly 8 more to go….
Shoutout to for fixing me up and helping me get my body realigned to lift and keep my gains coming. If you’re in the Guelph area and need a tune highly recommend reaching out to Dr Kendra.
Happy Weekend and Happy Lifting

Quick training session tonight, but still made it a progressive one with some big gains. Single-Arm Pent Day, heading into my 3rd week. Progress movinf better than I thought , will need to do a full 6’ lift shortly to really see where I am at. Todays lift
Cleans - 6x1’ (1’ rest) 5 w 36kg, last set (video) 40kg all sets max reps. Was unsure how set would go as my 40kg is a cast iron bell not comp so the handle is fatter
Clean & Press - 5x1’ -4 w 26kg, last (video) 28kg - 11 reps all 5 sets
1/2 Snatcg - 5x1’ - 4 w 32kg, last w 36kg (all max reps 18)
Not getting to cocky/over confident as we all know in sport 1’ sets are just a tease, but I’m staying optimistic 😋😋
