Quick training session tonight, but still made it a progressive one with some big gains. Single-Arm Pent Day, heading into my 3rd week. Progress movinf better than I thought , will need to do a full 6’ lift shortly to really see where I am at. Todays lift
Cleans - 6x1’ (1’ rest) 5 w 36kg, last set (video) 40kg all sets max reps. Was unsure how set would go as my 40kg is a cast iron bell not comp so the handle is fatter
Clean & Press - 5x1’ -4 w 26kg, last (video) 28kg - 11 reps all 5 sets
1/2 Snatcg - 5x1’ - 4 w 32kg, last w 36kg (all max reps 18)
Not getting to cocky/over confident as we all know in sport 1’ sets are just a tease, but I’m staying optimistic 😋😋

After all the double work I did leading up to .k.m.f World championships I don’t want to lose the gains I made, so comtinuing to work with the heavier bells on lifts still will be built it on a regular basis. Definitely have seen how the effect of using 2 has made switching to prep for the 1-Arm Pent easier. Now to just work on speed. Yesterday i also just wanted to have a fun workout, doing 2 of my fave lifts. LC and Smatch. 2 ladders, 1’ on 1’ off, starting at 16kg and working up to 32/33kg (33 LC omly)
Videos are Dble Half Sn**ch 32/28kg set - first time doing the 32s in 3 weeks. That last rep def not a rep BUT still happy my shoulders didn’t explode and I was able to get it up. 28s felt comfortable.
Last 2 videos are LC 32/33kg - Both felt good albeit it’s only a min, all Soort lifters know the real s**t starts min 2 and beyond

Training is in full swing prepping for Comp in August. Have you taken advantage of the EARLY bird offer we have??
Sticking with Pentathlon however this time only 1 Bell as well as bettering my DBLE Half Sn**ch w 24s result in January for Games.
Easy set today with 16s - 7x1’ - 17/18/18/18/18/18/20. Enjoying the light bells as I know soon enough s**t will get serious. Continuing to chase as his results. Stay tuned

Chasing … 1min down, 9 more to go… 🤪🤪🤪🤪
But beyond this fantasy, I did hit a PB 5 reps, besting my 1st by 1-2 reps and also the reps feeling a bit more solid… next goal 10. Love the dble half sn**ch, it may be becoming my FAVORITE GS Lift.

Always a good start to a day when you hit a SN**CH PB… 48Kg(106lbs) from a dead stop… Goal in life, being able to sn**ch more than my age…. Gave myself a bit of wiggle room now before having to hit a new pB… Goal now 52KG…
2nd video is my 1st attempt on both. After failing on Right, I knew I had it… Left 1st attempt lockout sucked .

Training Tip Thursday;

Looking to unlock your 1st Pull-up?? Stop guessing…
Start Training with Purpose!!!

Add 1 or all 3 of these exercises to your current Pull/Back workout 🏋️‍♀️ routine…

Video 1 - Scapula Pull-ups
~ target muscles in the back to help initiate the pull for the pull-up
~ 2-3 sets x 5 reps with a 2sec hold at bottom

Video 2 - Reverse Row Sit Back
- combining conventional row with the sit back that will get you to focus on intiating the pull movement.
~ 3 sets 3-5 controlled reps

Video 3 - Negative Pull-ups
~ Build real pull-up strength
~ Jump to the top
~ 5–8 sec slow lower
~ 3–5 reps

Train these movements 2-3x per week and that 1st pull-up won’t stay a dream but become reality…
