Two great days on the water with the Grade 7 Phys Ed crew from Halifax Grammar School ! 🛶🌊

Three groups, 60+ students, great weather, a BBQ, and lots of smiles, laughs and paddling. We’ve been welcoming HGS to ECO for over a decade, and it’s always awesome to see a new group of kids getting out on the water, working together, trying something new and discovering the fun of being active outdoors.

Here’s to another great year on the coast! 🌊☀️

Monday is Bascic skills clinic. Thursday is Ladies night. Friday is our After-work paddle, Saturday is our eveing paddle and Sunday is our sunset session - all for only $40 plus HST

Tuesday evening is Paddle Club. A great way to paddle with friends and meet new paddlers while learning to stay safe on the water.
Sundays and Wednesday is STUDENT Kayaking Night! The kids are alright and returning to school in Septmeber so let get them on the water. For more informaiton check out out calendar: https://www.eastcoastoutfitters.com/calendar

Last night was one of those evenings that reminds us why we love paddling in Nova Scotia. 🌅🌊

Our Paddle Club regulars headed out for an evening adventure and, with the ocean about as calm as you could ask for, we were able to circumnavigate Moser Island right here in Lower Prospect.

Flat water. Clear skies. A beautiful sunset. Good people. And that quiet feeling you only get when you’re out on the ocean as the day winds down.

But there’s still plenty of paddling season left! September and October can bring some of the best days of the year on the water — fewer crowds, cooler temperatures, and some seriously beautiful sunsets.

So come on down, get in a kayak, and see what you’ve been missing. 🛶

This is Nova Scotia. 🌊🦞

What a weekend at East Coast Outfitters!

From private groups paddling the coastline and coming back to BBQs, fresh mussels and oysters, to welcoming visitors from around the world off the cruise ships — our weekend was a pretty great reminder of what makes this place special.

Beautiful coastlines. Island adventures. Good people. Local food. And plenty of time on the water.

We even had a Paddle Canada Basic Sea Kayaking Skills course happening Sunday, with more people learning to explore our coastline with confidence.

From Wisconsin to Germany, from across Canada to right here in Nova Scotia — people come to East Coast Outfitters to experience Nova Scotia from the water.

And yes… September is still a pretty good time to paddle. 🍂🛶

East Coast Outfitters is hosting a Paddle Canada Level 2 Sea Kayak Skills Course from October 1–4, 2026, and we have just one spot remaining!

We’re excited to have Blair Doyle leading this course. Blair is the President of Canoe Kayak Nova Scotia (CKNS) and the owner and operator of Adventure & Safety Atlantic. He is widely respected throughout Nova Scotia for his experience as a paddler, instructor, and first aid trainer.

This is an incredible opportunity to spend four days developing your sea kayaking skills, building confidence on the water, and learning from one of Nova Scotia’s most experienced instructors.
