Prana translates to “life force”, and it means the way we control, or pay attention to our breath. Pranayama is a very powerful tool in our yoga toolbox, for use both on and off our mats.

Sometimes Pranayama can just mean being mindful of taking full, belly breaths. Other times we can be more intentional with a technique.

Have you tried Bee Breathing?

Next time you’re feeling stressed, try a soft hum during a few exhalations to help calm your mind, and soften the edges of your unease.

We DO enjoy class very much, but not in the way you do. Classes are entirely for you. That’s why we pay attention to how you’re moving, breathing, your energy; it informs our teaching. Because if we’re doing yoga, we’re not doing our jobs as effectively as we can.
