In the tradition of NASCAR, Wisdom Wednesday is a trend where drivers, teams, series, tracks, and fans share anything from their favourite quotes, life lessons, race day procedures or a day in the life of an official at the track. Anything that is educating or motivating! It is an opportunity to learn more about what you see as a fan or spectator.

Kicking this off we are sharing one of Dale Earnhardt's quotes about winning! We know that speed is a key factor in winning races but mindset, determination and perseverance can be equally as important. Competition can enhance motivation and performance but it can also have negative effects, like stress, anxiety, or be demotivating. We see this all the time at the track, from on track incidents to car issues, as well as a winner who may not have the fastest car on race monitor.

On behalf of all OSCAAR officials, drivers, pit crews, sponsors, I want offer our sincere condolences to Wally's family and friends and the staff at Inside Track Motorsport News. Wally has been a great supporter of OSCAAR for over 30 years. I could always expect that phone call for a pre season report that he would do for the series. Always had time to stop and talk while at the track. He will be missed by many, but I know he is in heaven getting interviews from all our racing hero's that have passed.
