Hey Guys, Meet Thom! Thom, Meet everyone! 🤝

Spring has arrived, and so has a major ecological transformation at Katchiwano Golf Club!

As part of our 5-year plan, you’ll see Thom around the course consulting with us on tree and shrub removals, new native plantings, and upgraded landscaping across the course this season. Why? To restore biodiversity, remove invasives like Common Buckthorn, and replace declining non-native trees like Scots Pine with species that truly belong here.

We’re also planting native grasses to create habitat and fight back against invasives like Canada Thistle (yep—despite the name, it’s not Canadian!).

Guided by conservation expert Prof. Thomas Luloff, we’re building a course that supports wildlife as much as it supports your game.

We are so happy to have Thom guide us with this on going project! Keep your eyes peeled for Thom at the course, or here on our socials teaching us about the beautiful landscape we have thr privilege of playing on 🏵🌳⛳️
