I started going to BUXTON SPEEDWAY as a kid with my dad. He was spectator for a long time and then he was the mechanic for Brian Speelman till my dad passed away in 2003. Up until last year I probably only came to maybe 10 races there as it was just too hard with all the memories...
Now my son Clayton Ball races there! So I started coming back. It feels different now, in a good way, I still miss him terribly but it's time to make new memories and I know that my dad would be proud to see his grandson out on that track!!
I was the track photographer in Varney Ontario for 3 years (2012/13/14) and absolutely loved being inside the track and up on the wall! It's a whole new feeling being that close to the action versus being in the stands!
So now fast forward, I feel blessed to be part of the Buxton media team and I'm excited for this year!
Last night was amazing but definitely an entirely different feeling compared to the other track I worked at. A little intimidating but a whole lot of fun! Still learning the new camera and the new track so let me get in my groove guys but I'm going to make an album with some of the shots from last night!! Watch for more to be added throughout the week.

Southern Ontario Sprints will be at Buxton Speedway Saturday May 16th!🇨🇦🏁🇺🇸

• Early History: The SOS series has been visiting the track for (30) years, the first race at Buxton Speedway took place in 1996.
Including notable wins by Jerry Whitney and Mike Ling in 1997.

• All-Time Top Winners (SOS): Dylan Westbrook leads with (10 )wins, followed by Mike Ling with (5).

• Recent Action: The 2026 season includes the SOS 30th Anniversary Weekend scheduled for May 16th.
Along with other SOS dates at Buxton Speedway throughout the 2026 season.
