Mahone Bay Tennis Club

The fifth annual MBL (Mahone Bay/Lunenburg) Cup and Saucer tournament, celebrating our inter-club mixed doubles league, was a great success yesterday, before the rains came!

Congratulations to Kathy Armstrong and George Crookshank, this year's champs, over finalists Lynda Bottoms and Jen Laughlin. Special thanks to Jim Shatford for keeping score and timing our matches.

It's a great format and a great group of the most active senior players at both of our fine clubs!

Great Men's Doubles event today at MBTC. 4 clubs represented! Congrats to Andrew Blades and Trevor Spencer, who beat all teams in the round robin and MJ Martino and John Bain from the host club in the final! Thanks to all participants, and Tom and Todd for BBQ duties.

Mahone Bay Tennis has a job opening for a assistant instructor for our junior program, running through July and August. 2 hours a day, most likely in the mornings, Monday-Friday.
