A 2025 review of 21 studies that was published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine examined the effect of neck strengthening programs on head acceleration events (HAEs) in sports.
The bottom line from this review clearly shows that neck strength matters and that athletes with stronger necks experienced lower head accelerations during impacts.

🌍World Population Day.
As populations age and demographics continue to evolve, the goal isn't just to help people live longer—it's to help them live healthier, more active lives.
While advances in healthcare have increased life expectancy, many of those added years are still affected by illness, injury, and reduced mobility. By 2050, people are projected to spend an average of 11.4 years in poor health, up from 8.7 years in 2000, according to McKinsey & Company.
Athletic Therapists play an important role in changing that story. Through injury prevention, movement assessment, rehabilitation, and education, they help people stay active, and enjoy a better quality of life at every age.
Healthy movement supports healthy communities. This World Population Day, let's invest in prevention and prioritize lifelong health.

As stated by Rachael Pinnock, Chief Commercial & Impact Officer, Canadian Paralympic Committee, “The new logo .... belongs to every Canadian Para athlete, partner, and supporter who believes Para sport belongs at the centre of Canada’s sporting story.” OSTA agrees Para sport belongs at the centre of Canada's sporting story!!
