Today, my heart is full of pride.

Congratulations to my son, Michael, on earning a place on the Vanier College Honour Roll for his outstanding academic achievement in Social Science (Psychology Major).

Success like this doesn’t happen by chance. It is built through discipline, perseverance, and countless hours of hard work. Watching you grow into a determined, intelligent, and kind young man has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Keep believing in yourself, keep asking questions, and never stop chasing excellence. This is only the beginning of an exciting journey, and I have no doubt that your future is bright.

Happy Father’s Day

I came across this quote today:

“The most dangerous moment in a man’s life is when he realizes the dream he chased no longer fits who he is.”

It made me think about my father.

My father taught me that a man’s worth is not measured by the titles he earns, the money he makes, or even the victories he collects. It is measured by his character, his integrity, and his ability to keep moving forward when life becomes difficult.

As a young athlete, I chased many dreams. Some came true, some changed, and some disappeared along the way. Through every stage of my life, my father remained a quiet example of strength, discipline, and resilience. He taught me that success is temporary, but values stay with you forever.

Today, as a father myself, I understand even more the sacrifices, patience, and unconditional support that fathers give without expecting anything in return. Many of the lessons I now pass on to my children and my students were first taught to me by him.

Happy Father’s Day, Dad. Thank you for your guidance, your example, and for helping shape the man I became.
