NECK PAIN THAT TRAVELS INTO YOUR ARM?
Pain, tingling, numbness, burning, or weakness in your arm or hand can be more than a stiff neck.
You may notice that your symptoms:
• Travel from your neck into your shoulder, arm, or hand
• Get worse when you turn or extend your neck
• Increase when you cough, sneeze, or strain
• Affect your arm or grip strength
• Ease when you place your hand on top of your head
These can be signs of cervical radiculopathy, when a nerve in your neck becomes irritated or compressed.
DON'T IGNORE NERVE SYMPTOMS.
Physiotherapy can help identify what may be contributing to your symptoms, reduce pain and irritation, restore movement and strength, and help you get back to the activities you enjoy.
If your neck pain is affecting your arm, get it assessed.
