Our tryouts have been a tremendous success so far, with athletes from across the region stepping on the floor and competing for an opportunity to be part of Kainos Basketball Academy.

Join us in welcoming our newest recruit to the Kainos family, Ethan MacDonald, from Ottawa, Ontario!
Ethan brings a combination of shooting, versatility, and scoring ability to the program. A confident scorer from the perimeter, Ethan has the ability to knock down shots from deep while also attacking closeouts and taking the ball to the rim.
His ability to score in multiple ways makes him a versatile offensive threat and a valuable addition to the program. Ethan’s willingness to attack, compete, and continue developing his game will make him an exciting player to watch as he takes the next step in his basketball journey.
We’re excited to have Ethan join the Kainos family and can’t wait to see his growth, development, and impact both on and off the court.

Join us in welcoming our newest recruit to the Kainos family, Zion Monroe, a 6’4” wing from Calgary, Alberta!
Zion brings a combination of athleticism, physicality, and versatility to the program. A high-flying wing who can elevate above the rim, Zion is at his best attacking the basket, using his strength and explosiveness to get downhill and finish through contact.
A true two-way player, Zion is also a strong defender who takes pride in making an impact on both ends of the floor. His physicality, athleticism, and ability to guard multiple positions make him a tough matchup and a valuable piece for the program.
“I chose this program because I’m looking for something different and I want to experience what basketball is like in another city. I also chose Kainos because of the amazing coaching staff and the opportunities the program can provide me, especially when it comes to playing basketball at the post-secondary level. I feel like this is a great opportunity for me to grow as a player, challenge myself, and take the next step in my basketball journey.”
