We regret to inform you that IMBY Bikes will be closing its doors. As a small, locally owned bike shop, we faced a series of challenges that ultimately became too much to overcome. The prolonged downturn in the bike industry, rising costs across the board, increased rent, higher shipping and logistics costs, inflation, broader economic uncertainty, and ongoing tariff concerns all placed significant pressure on the business, to name just a few.
While this is the end of the chapter for IMBY, we wanted to say thank you.
To our customers and clients - thank you for trusting us with your bikes, your builds, and your dream wheels. Supporting riders in our own backyard and beyond has been an absolute privilege.
To our incredible team, past and present - thank you for the long days, the passion, the pride in your work, and for being truly great people. It was an honour to work with you.
To our ambassadors - thank you for believing in us, riding with us, and representing what IMBY was all about on and off the trails.
To TORCA and the local trail community - thank you for the countless hours you put into building and maintaining the trails we all love, and for welcoming us into such a strong and supportive riding community.
To our fellow local bike shops - Kinetik Cycles, Pitt Meadows Cycles, and Trek Port Coquitlam - thank you for being great neighbors and for supporting the local riding community. We truly appreciate the role you play and know our community is in excellent hands with you.
IMBY Bikes was built out of a deep love for bikes, riding, and community.
