Gone far too soon. As both a promoter and a wrestler, Eddie dedicated so much of his life to professional wrestling. His passion for the industry always shined through, and his impact will be felt by so many.

1983–2026
This week, the Vancouver Island wrestling community lost one of its own.
Eddie Osbourne wasn’t simply a professional wrestler. He was a Van island wrestling legend, a pioneer who helped lay the foundation for what professional wrestling on this Island would become, and an important part of the early days of Vancouver Island Pro Wrestling.
When VIPW was just beginning, Eddie was there. He gave his time, his knowledge and his passion to help build something that would continue long after those first shows.
But Eddie’s legacy will never be measured only by matches, championships or moments inside a wrestling ring.
It will be measured by people.
He was a friend, a mentor, a teacher and a brother to so many who came through the Vancouver Island wrestling scene. Whether you shared a locker room with him, stood across the ring from him, learned from him, or simply had the opportunity to know him, Eddie left an impression.
He loved professional wrestling, and he gave a piece of himself to this business and to this community.
For those of us who were fortunate enough to be there during those early years, there are memories that will stay with us forever. Stories will continue to be told. Lessons will continue to be passed down. And every time someone who learned from Eddie steps through those ropes, a small piece of his legacy will continue with them.
VIPW would not be what it is today without the people who believed in it from the beginning.
Eddie Osbourne was one of those people.
Our deepest condolences go out to Eddie’s family, friends, loved ones, and everyone throughout the wrestling community who had the privilege of calling him a friend.
Thank you for everything, Eddie.
For the memories.
For the lessons.
For the laughs.
For believing in Vancouver Island wrestling.
You will be deeply missed, but you will never be forgotten.
