Regina Thunder Football Club

The Thunder backfield has been a strength of this program for years, and this season is no different.

With PFC MVP Peter Boersch returning alongside newcomer Owen Istace, we’ve got multiple talented backs ready to share the workload. Add in a fullback and a dominant offensive line, and it’s the same identity that’s powered our offence for years. We’re excited to see what this group can do together.

In a recent interview on The SportsCage Head Coach Scott MacAulay shared his excitement and outlook for the Regina Thunder heading into the 2026 season.

Now, it’s time to put those expectations into action.

The Thunder kick off the regular season this Sunday as they travel to Edmonton to take on the Edmonton Wildcats. Football is back.

Last night marked a special milestone in Regina Thunder history.

For the first time ever, we held a team Chapel Night, led by our new Team Chaplain, Sharlene Holliday, and our Thunder Mission Team.

With the Regina Thunder, we believe that developing great football players starts with developing great people. Our commitment has always been to support the whole athlete - not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

This season, we’re placing an even greater emphasis on ensuring our players have opportunities to grow in their faith, for those who choose to participate. Last night’s Chapel was the first step in that journey, and we were incredibly encouraged by the outstanding turnout and engagement from both our players and staff.

We’re excited to continue Chapel every week throughout the season as another way we invest in our athletes, both on and off the field.
