Whidbey Island photographer, Robin Reich, greyhound rescue advocate at and wife of our designer , writes, in her recent article Lull…to soothe or quiet “In thinking about my own ways of taking care of myself and creating lulls in my own life, I thought immediately of the beautifully and thoughtfully designed gentle inversion board aptly named Lull, and how it is always there to support me when I need it. My own lovely Lull sits in my room and quietly calls out to me with its ever present invitation for rest and rejuvenation. Just seeing it and its friendly, elegant presence gives me a sense of calm and a reminder to be present.”
Robin shares “Sitting on Lull and being gently and slowly rocked back into a supported recline position is like entering another Universe. There is an instant release of tension throughout my body and a feeling of well being. It is a wonderful chance for deep rest and a time to be inward, quiet and present. A place to listen to one’s innermost self. The serenity I feel pervades my sense of seeing and changes the way I look at things.”

Relief from sciatica can also be found in a more gentle way. For those of you seeking an alternative to the upside down devices such as inversion tables, you might appreciate what we’ve created.
Still though, this is an exciting article.
Beating Sciatica: The Benefits Of Inversion Therapy - Bicycling Australia
Sciatica is a widespread issue in society and cyclists are not immune from it. Here John Kempler shares his sciatica story. Hold onto your seat (unless it hurts your back), because we’re talking about everyone’s favourite topic: back pain! Okay, maybe it’s not everyone’s favourite topic, b....

Along with your ice baths & massage guns, here’s another athletic recovery trick. It’ll help to drain fluids that can pool in your legs and circulate lactic acid like with the common yoga pose and runners recovery method of “Legs Up The Wall.”
Added bonus: the supported posture can help you stretch those tight hammies. 🏃♂️

Customer testimonial. 💗 And a bit more from our conversation: “Using the Incliner has helped relieve my lower back and hip pain. The angle is slight enough to prevent a massive blood rush to the head, but steep enough to allow gravity to realign the spine. And really comfortable too! Great for meditating and relaxing.”

Nice article about how the boosted circulation from inversion (including gentle, non-upside down) nourishes cells and helps drainage in the lymphatic system as well as other benefits. We’d of course add methods such as with our Lull Incliner.

My friend hosted a mother daughter getaway weekend in Eastern Washington recently with her cousins. After a long walk, she set out her incliner prototype for the ladies to try.
The woman in this photo is 82 and had not tried using one before. She said it felt really good. That she loved how her back felt like it released pressure. She said she could easily imagine how helpful it would be to use every morning and evening before bed as a way to feel more vibrant and to improve upon her longevity.
82… Going on 72. Or maybe 62. We’d been thinking that our customer group might not extend beyond mid seventies. But, this experience shows us otherwise. If one can sit unassisted, if one’s knees and hips can support them, then why not?
P.S. this incliner is one of our earlier edition prototypes with a solid core base. We’ve since opened up the legs to be more like rocking chair legs.
