The South End Community Center was a joint project of the federal, provincial and municipal governments. Under the neighborhood improvement program the center officially opened its doors on November 28, 1978. Our kids had a blast on Monday, who doesn't love McDonalds for lunch! They got to play some trivia, win some prizes, and see the behind the scenes action.
The staff were so lovely and welcoming, and Jane and Jeremy, as always, are such fantastic supporters of BGC Greater Saint John and the work we do!

Yesterday, our youth got hands-on experience at Old Navy stores within the This Way ONward program. Practical experiences mentorship and connections learned through those programs boost their job readiness and confidence. Kudos to Old Navy for the support and BGC Canada for making it happen!
We truly had the most positive and welcoming experience with the staff at our local Old Navy. They welcomed a loud and large group of youth in and were so kind and patient with them, and they all had such lovely things to say about our youth and we left feeling very proud of their hard work!
