Carleton Kidz Banquet! 🦋 That’s a wrap for the 2025-2026 Carleton Kidz program!!! 🥹

Thank you to everyone who came tonight to celebrate another incredible year! A BIG thanks to the fabulous Carleton Kidz staff! 💚 It takes a strong team to lead the next generation, and we’re beyond appreciative and thankful for everything you do.

We also must extend thanks to many of our partners involved because of YOU we can offer the youth in our community; experiences of a life time, long lasting friendships and unforgettable memories! 🫶🏽 So, THANK YOU!!! Thank you Domino's Pizza. Thank you UCT Jack Kidd Council #755. Thank you to our generous yogis! Thank you to Port City Pickleball! Thank you to all our incredible volunteers! Thank you City of Saint John! Without all of you, these things wouldn’t be possible!

Overall, such a successful evening with the best people! 🥰 We recognized some super youths and a few of our long term staff members! A HUGE congratulations to Tamika for graduating from UNBSJ! Plus a farewell to Hailey for all the years of dedication she’s given to our Carleton Kidz program! We will miss you!

We LOVE Pasta Nights!! Monday night, CCC Kidz enjoyed italian pasta salad with garlic cheese baguette 😍 Dessert was provided by our wonderful yoga ladies, THANK YOU!!! Hard to believe this was our final Monday Pasta Night of the school year - summer camp here we come! 😎

Congratulations to our very own, Tamika!!! 🎓 we are so proud of you! 🫶🏻

This year we did something a little different at our AGM. In addition to celebrating our previous year success, we decided to highlight and acknowledge some very special individuals to us. 🫶🏻

Gerry Lowe was honoured as our Community Champion for going above and beyond for our community. He is always a phone call away and never turns down an opportunity to advocate for us. We are going to miss him greatly, and wish him the best in his retirement! Although we know he will never truly stop working for his people! 🩵✨

Russ Green is our Heart of the Community recipient for his countless hours spent volunteering as our yoga instructor. We love him and his “yogies”, always asking how they can help! You truly feel grounded in his presence! 🧘‍♂️🧡

DP World was acknowledged as our Community Champion for the consisted dedication to our efforts, such as Saint John West Days, and also being a great neighbor! ⛅️💛

Thank you for all those who attended and support the Carleton each year through working, volunteering, donating, attending our programming, and supporting our efforts to offer a place where everyone is welcome. 💚

🚧 Notice to Residents: Oversized Load Movements – Lower West Side

The City of Saint John has been notified of planned oversized and/or overweight load movements from the Port’s Lower West terminal to the IPP pulp mill area between June 1 and June 19. Approximately 101 loads are expected, with up to 30 potentially using a Lower West Side route (subject to approvals).

What to expect (Lower West Side route):
- Monday–Friday movements
- Twice daily: 6:00–7:00 a.m. and 1:30–2:30 p.m.
- Police escorts in place
- Temporary parking restrictions along portions of the route

Parking reminder:
Please do not park:
- On the south side of Ludlow St. (Prince St. to King St. West)
- On the east side of King St. West (Ludlow St. to 246 King St. West) during scheduled movement times. Vehicles may be towed if they interfere with operations.

The City is working with partners to support safety, minimize disruption, and keep residents informed. Additional traffic impacts may occur due to separate provincial work near the Harbour Bridge.
