Our very first SasKiz Kizomba Night Out was an absolute blast! Amazing energy, a fantastic turnout and so many beautiful moments on the dance floor.

Kizomba & Mingle is here! ❤️

We wanted to create a space where you can practise, dance, connect and get to know the SasKiz community - without needing to already know everyone.

So we’ve taken the relaxed, social feel of our old Kizomba practicas and brought it into a welcoming public space, with a little beginner-friendly lesson to get everyone moving first.

Kizomba & Mingle happens twice a month, and the next one is this Friday!

📍 Dance Ink - 817, 29th St W, Saskatoon
📅 This Friday
🕖 7:00-9:00pm
👣 30-minute beginner-friendly lesson at 7pm, followed by social dancing

This fall, we’ve added three different kinds of social events to the SasKiz calendar — because sometimes you want to learn, sometimes you want to practise, and sometimes you just want to go out and dance!

Our relaxed, beginner-friendly social. Start with a short beginner lesson, then dance, practise, chat and get to know the community.

🧪 𝗞𝗜𝗭𝗢𝗠𝗕𝗔 𝗟𝗔𝗕
Dedicated time to work on your dancing. There’s no lesson or set agenda — practise what you’re learning, experiment, ask questions or get individualized feedback from our instructors.

Thank you to everyone who came out to learn, dance, practise, reconnect and meet some new people with us.
It was wonderful to see a mix of familiar faces, dancers we haven’t seen in a while, and people trying Kizomba for the very first time. 🥰

This is exactly what we hoped Kizomba & Mingle could be — a relaxed place to dance, connect and spend time together.

Leah loves Kizomba for the music — really, really, really! ❤️ — and because Kizomba is about so much more than dancing. She loves the community that grows around it.

When she isn’t dancing, Leah enjoys exploring Canada with her husband and their two intrepid adventure cats. 🐈🐈🌲

Community Outreach • Events

Claire loves the smooth, meditative flow of Kizomba, how grounded it makes her feel, and the connections she’s made through dance — in Saskatoon, across Western Canada and while travelling.

Outside of dance, Claire appreciates a good cup of coffee ☕ and has a particular weakness for Zazubean Cheeky Salted Toffee & Banana chocolate. 🤤

Helen loves the connection and flow you can experience with another person through Kizomba, the music, and the sense of community that comes with it.

Originally from Perth, Australia 🇦🇺, Helen’s first solo overseas trip took her to India, where she spent several weeks staying in an ashram.

𝗡𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀?
All three of us remember being new! You don’t need a partner, fancy moves or previous experience to get started. Come give it a try — we’re genuinely excited to welcome new people into our community. ❤️
