We are locked in for this year's Great Ontario Salmon Derby! Last year was epic. We saw lots of BIG fish hit the deck and were fortunate enough to land a 30.10lb tyee! Everyone that fishes with me is automatically entered into the derby which runs all summer long throughout July and August and gets you a chance to win weekly prizes for the biggest salmon! Always a fun time and can't wait!

Welcome to summer 2026! I kicked off my first charter of the season this morning with Dave and his family all the way from Houston Texas! My prefishing the last few days has been 'ok', catching multiple species and a couple teenage kings but the water cooled off and wasn't sure what to expect today. To our surprise, the fish were on the feed! We went 15/17 and had a mixed bag of fish, including a bunch of rainbows, 1 coho, 2 atlantics and 3 decent teenage kings! Not a bad start! Dave and the family had a blast and what a great way to kick off salmon season on Lake Ontario! I am halfway booked up for the summer, so if you would like to get out - send me a message and we can lock in a date!

First trip of the season targeting kings with my buddy Ron down in Niagara was a success. We launched at Port Delhousie and the morning was very slow. We didn't see any action until we hopped over the border to the US side of the niagara bar and then it was game on. We landed around 15 kings and lost another half dozen as well. Also landed 1 very large Lake Trout which was awesome🙌! Not much in the way of size but the bite was steady until about noon and then we packed it in. Another great start to the season and nice to finally see some silver! Always love fishing with Capt. Ron!

Kicked off the season the best way possible — on the water with my dad. The guy who taught me how to fish and still my favourite person to spend a day with out on the water.

We were chasing jumbo perch on Lake Simcoe. Started off with some heavy fog, but once it lifted we ripped across the lake in his BassCat — and yeah… this thing moves. Nothing like a seventy mile per hour haircut on the water! 😆

Got into some fish, brought a few home for the family, and had an absolute blast like we do every year. Fishing is a little slow but should pick up as things warm up over the next few weeks. I'm looking forward to landing some more mutant perch!

Feels good to be back. 🎣

The countdown to the 2026 season has officially begun. Hit the marina today to unwrap and wake the beast up for another year on the water. Backed it down the ramp and fired the engines to ensure everything's working great and then dropped it off at the marina for servicing.

There’s nothing like that pre-season feeling—fresh water, fresh gear, and a whole new batch of adventures on the horizon. Last year was an epic season with tons of happy clients and tons of fish hitting the deck! Can’t wait to get back out there and put some serious bends in the rods. Fantastic boys weekend on the bay of quinte catching some mega walleyes! To see these fish in person is something special. Our biggest was almost 11bs! Big thanks to my buddy Mike from for hosting us. I always have a great time fishing with these guys and mike always puts us on some big ones! Hoping I'll get one more shot at a big trophy with him again soon. Make sure to book him up if you want to get out for a trip!

While salmon season is done, fall brings me other opportunities to get on the water to fish and today was certainly one for the record books. My friend always takes me out for the most insane bass bite on Lake Erie and I look forward to our trips every season. Well today we crushed them. We landed close to 30 smallmouth and took home the bacon after placing 1st and winning our little local bass derby with a monster bag of 29.31 lbs!!! Our biggest was 6.2lbs and finished up what Aaron says is the best day of bass fishing he's ever had. This guy is the BEST bass fisherman I know and love hanging out with him on the boat. Watched him use livescope and basically catch fish he was targeting with every cast. Just an absolutely awesome day on the water and one I won't forget. Thanks buddy!

I've had an incredible first year operating as an official guide and charter captain on Lake Ontario — leading around 30+ trips filled with happy clients, tons of fish, smiling faces, and unforgettable catches and memories all season long! We also did really well in the with our big 30.10lb Tyee placing me 5th in the OSFGA Captain’s Charter Division and secured 8th place for Week 6 with some cash and a new Daiwa Saltist reel! 😎

I'm looking forward to more adventures on the water next year! Remember, if you want to fish during prime king salmon season, be sure to book now for July and the first two weeks of August for 2026 before the salmon run begins! Dates are already being booked so get your dates locked in now! 👍

It ain't over until the fat lady sings...and I don't hear her yet! Insane blue zone bite yesterday with Roland SR., Roland Jr and their crew aboard the Grady. They dropped 15 solid fish and lost another 5, with a mixed bag of 2 and 3 year old kings and some big rainbows. Just a beauty day out there and not a single boat around. We are going to run one more week before shutting down for the seaon! Let's hope the weather stays nice and winds are calm this week 😉

Finished up an awesome long weekend on the big pond with Alex and his family from NYC this afternoon. They hooked into a bunch of kings and a nice rainbow too for the BBQ. Awesome outing to wrap up a fantastic and busy weekend on the water. I still plan to fish the rest of September before putting the boat to sleep for the winter. Tight lines and hope everyone had an awesome weekend!
