Mile Zero Ultimate

Co-ed and 18+ Ultimate Frisbee League in St. John's, Newfoundland Since 2004, Mile Zero Ultimate has been running adult co-ed Ultimate leagues in St. John's.

With over 600 members, we offer individuals of all skill sets the ability to play great Ultimate year-round with a variety of indoor and outdoor leagues. Whether you’re new to the sport or a veteran, you’ll fit right in at MZU. ard runs leagues as follows:

1. Quidi Vidi Summer League:
Our largest league with more than 400 players and 30 teams, this runs throughout June, July and August on outdoor fields across the city. Players can sign up as individuals, partners or build teams to participate in this league, which is ranked via a ladder system. At the end of the year, we award the winning teams, most spirited teams and stand-out players, plus a variety of fun prizes. Registration starts in the Spring, so stay tuned!

2. Fall Outdoor Hat League:
A great league to meet new people and socialize, we play on a massive outdoor turf field on Sunday nights... under the bright lights. We also like to rhyme. This is one of our most popular leagues and a great way for players to be introduced to the sport in a welcoming and mildly competitive way. Registration begins when summer league ends.

3. Fall Indoor BIY League
Eventually the weather forces us back indoors. The Fall BIY League plays from late September until December on indoor turf at the Techniplex. While some teams from summer league choose to keep playing together, MZU also provides a matchmaking sheet to help players and teams find each other. Captains are responsible for registering their teams in early September.

4. Winter Hat League
Playing in January and February on indoor turf at the Techniplex, the winter hat league is another chance to mix players in exciting new combinations. Registration is by individuals or pairs, and occurs in mid-December.

5. Winter BIY League
The Winter Build-It-Yourself League is also played at the Techniplex, from March through May. For many teams, this is the warm-up for summer. We have field capacity for 24 teams and captains must register their teams in February. MZU also provides a matchmaking form for this league. Last but not least in our Board of Directors review is our Members at Large. The Members at Large assist the Executive with the running of MZU. Each MAL serves on at least one committee (League, Spirit, Communications, or Inclusion) and performs duties as needed to ensure success of MZU’s leagues and events.
