🏒 Reminder to LHA Bench Staff – Update Your VSC for 2026–27

Team Officials and third-party instructors returning for the upcoming season — now is the time to ensure your Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) is up to date.

🔍 You can check your VSC expiry date on your HCR profile in Spordle.

If you’ve never submitted a VSC or yours has expired:
➤ Apply for a new VSC as soon as possible
➤ Submit approved VSC to the OHF and complete the online declaration on the OHF Screening Portal: https://loom.ly/vY-hZcQ (link in bio)

⏳ Please note: Police services typically take 6–8 weeks to process applications — apply as soon as possible.

If you have a valid VSC on file with the OHF:
➤ You must still complete the online declaration for the 2026–27 season via the OHF portal
📅 Declarations from 2025–26 expire May 31, 2026

❗ Individuals without a valid VSC and declaration will not be included on their team's roster or permitted to work with our players.

🏒 Reminder to Families — U7 (CDS) Skate | May 14 at Leaside Arena

Ready to start a hockey adventure the whole family will LOVE? Join the Leaside Hockey community as part of a CDS team!

If you have a child born in 2020 or 2021, come out to our U7 Preliminary Skate — it's a great opportunity to get on the ice and meet other families from the neighbourhood.

📅 Thursday, May 14
📍 Leaside Arena

⏰ Skate Times:
• 5:00 PM — Players born in 2021
• 6:00 PM — Players born in 2020 (Last Names A–L)
• 7:00 PM — Players born in 2020 (Last Names M–Z)

Interested in attending? Players must be registered for our House League (HL) program at leasidehockey.com (link in bio). Indicate your interest in CDS at HL registration and you’ll automatically be enrolled.

Please note: CDS is a competitive development program and includes additional costs and time commitments beyond House League. In CDS, your child will be part of a Leaside team that practices together and competes against other nearby hockey clubs.

Parents, please consider volunteering as a manager, trainer, or coach. It’s a great way to get to know the other players and families on the team, and some roles do not require hockey experience.

Calling all Leaside teens and future teens!
Looking for a fun, competitive, and positive hockey experience this season? Join our Select Hockey Program and hit the ice with friends from the neighbourhood.
