Something new is waiting for you at 21 St. Clements. 👀
Over the summer, we’ve been refreshing our halls with freshly painted spaces and a new screen in the Middle School Hub. But our favourite addition might just be the special surprise for our 125th anniversary waiting in the hallway outside Powell Hall...
We can’t wait to welcome everyone back in September and see your reactions!

In June, a group of alums gathered at St. Clement’s for a very special occasion.
Members of the Alum Scholar Award Committee including Meredith Giuliani ‘02, Karen (Row) Armstrong ‘75, and Sherry Boeckh ‘55, joined Principal Martha Perry ‘85 for lunch to celebrate this year’s Alum Scholar Award recipient Isla W. ‘26. (Fellow committee members Carolyn (Schmidt) Gossage ‘51 and Catherine Steele ‘66 were unable to attend).
Isla’s winning essay reflected on the moments when learning gets messy, and what can shine through as a result.
You can read Isla’s essay in the most recent issue of Red Blazer: https://publications.scs.on.ca/view/793295262/24/

Our Academic Communication Essentials students kept the learning going earlier this summer, spending two weeks sharpening their writing, presentation, and discussion skills at 21 St. Clements. Step-by-step guidance in academic writing helped students organize ideas, craft arguments, and polish their style, while critical thinking activities encouraged them to question and compare information, building confidence in expressing themselves clearly. 📚

The true magic of SCS extends beyond our actual school building – it comes from the people who make up our compassionate, courageous, and curious community. 💙

We're still thinking about the amazing Grade 11 Dance at our 125th Annual Closing Ceremonies last month - a performance so good, it deserves its own post. The crowd loved every minute of this energetic, spirited routine (not to mention the surprise cameo appearance from a very special guest!)

It takes a village to grow a garden! This year, Garden Club students in our Senior School, led by Ms Chisholm, built planter boxes by hand and cared for vegetable and herb seedlings from the start of the school year. When the time came to plant, Ms Horn's Grade 3 class rolled up their sleeves and jumped in to help. Together, they filled the beds with young plants and checked in on the garlic that has been growing since last autumn. As they worked, students uncovered plenty of worms (signs of a healthy and thriving garden) and quickly discovered that gardening comes with a few unexpected surprises! 😄
We can’t wait to see how the garden grows over the summer and what awaits us at harvest time in the fall!
