Golf deserves fair tax treatment. Sign the petition today!

Canadian businesses can generally deduct 50% of eligible client entertainment expenses for activities like restaurants, sporting events, concerts, skiing and tennis. Golf, however, is specifically excluded.

NGCOA Canada is advocating to change that!

A House of Commons e-petition is now open, calling on the Government of Canada to allow the same 50% business entertainment expense deduction for eligible green fees and cart rentals.

What a great start to our CGTF Masters Course!

Day 1 was all about sharing knowledge, exchanging ideas, challenging our thinking, and continuing to raise the standard of golf instruction in Canada.

With six talented golf professionals coming together to learn and grow, it’s shaping up to be a fantastic three days of professional development, collaboration, and great conversations about the future of golf teaching.

A big thank you to everyone participating and contributing their experience and passion to the group. The best learning happens when great teachers come together with an open mind!

Congratulations to our CGTF members!

A big congratulations to everyone who successfully completed the CGTF Clubfitting and Club Assembly Program this weekend in Ottawa!

A special thank you to our facilitator, Greg Phillips, for sharing his knowledge and expertise, and to all the participants for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and commitment to professional development.

Programs like this are a great example of the CGTF’s commitment to helping our Golf Professionals expand their knowledge, develop new skills, and better serve golfers across Canada.

Well done to everyone involved, and best of luck putting your new skills into practice

This is so cool.

Congrats to Austin Lemieux, son of Mario, who shot a 66 in Monday qualifying to earn his first PGA Tour start at the Bermuda Championship. Yes, 66!

The 30-year-old Pittsburgh native and former Arizona State hockey player has been on a heater lately, winning the Pennsylvania Mid-Amateur Championship in September and another event in Florida earlier this month.

The tournament tees off next Thursday. Let’s wish Austin the best of luck! 🏌️‍♂️
