Sunday August 23rd. at Hub Cycle registration opens at 10:30 am. Ride leaves Hub cycle at 11:00 and Arrives in Victoria Park at 12-12:15 for a speech and light refreshments.

The Spinning Wheels Tour was started by three men who decided to bike across the country in 2022. After a successful ride, they decided to expand it to include riders with Parkinson’s and those who support them.
Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological disease in the world and Canada has the highest per capita diagnosis in the world. There is no known cure. The goal of the Spinning Wheels Tour is to raise awareness of the importance of exercise and community and to reassure people living with Parkinson’s that they are not alone. This summer, Spinning Wheels has rides happening across Canada with many people joining in for an hour, a day or even a week.
Spinning Wheels will bein Nova Scotia from August 22-29, starting in Halifax and ending in Parrsboro. Community rides are happening in Halifax on August 22, Truro on August 23 and Parrsboro on August 29. These community rides are shorter distances (10-25km each) and are designed to be accessible to riders of all levels. Riders are also welcome to register for the longer rides between communities as well.
