Special thank you to Jonathan Jacob Lee for playing for our classes for these past 3 months! Gareth Owen will be back from Spain soon, and it's such a treat to have the music and inspiration that both these wonderful musicians bring to the studio! You can hear Jake perform at The Mint Victoria this coming Sunday (April 26)! Respectful Remates – Wednesdays, April 1-22, 2026, 7:00-8:00 p.m. – with Denise Yeo
Anyone who has improvised as a flamenco dancer (or would like to), knows the challenge of when to embellish with a remate without disrupting the flow of the music. Denise will guide dancers of all levels (minimum 3-years flamenco experience), with the focus of increasing listening skills and effectively incorporating remates in a variety of situations and palos. Prepare to get closer to the music and level up your understanding of the compás!
