Breath+Body+Philosophy
Begin with Kundalini-inspired movements to awaken the spine and breath, activate the core, and build energy, then move into a traditional Hatha Yoga sequence designed to strengthen, stretch, and tone the body.

Each week explores a theme from yogic philosophy, bringing deeper meaning and intention to the practice.

We’ll close with nourishing relaxation and meditation to ground and settle the mind, creating a balanced, complete practice for all levels.

ONE SPACE. MANY PATHWAYS.

Welmä is the space. My work is part of it, and extends beyond it.

Welmä was created as a place to pause, reconnect, explore and experience wellness in a different way. Through movement, sound, stillness, salt and meaningful connection, the studio offers space to return to yourself.

But the work doesn’t stop at the studio doors.

My own path has never followed a straight line. From design and real estate to wellness, writing and transformational work, each chapter has shaped how I see people, the spaces we inhabit and the way we move through life. Different disciplines, all connected by a common thread: creating space for possibility, change and growth.

As Susan Homa, I guide individuals, groups and teams through life’s transitions, helping them reconnect with themselves, find clarity and move forward with greater intention. Through the Lunar Alignment Method™, private experiences, retreats, speaking and transformational programs, this work reaches beyond one physical space.

Two expressions. One shared intention.

Welmä is where the experience begins. Susan Homa is the work that continues to evolve, wherever it is needed.

Because transformation doesn’t happen in one place. It happens when we make space for it.

This morning, I was reading a book and came across a Finnish word I had never heard before:
Sisu.
“The mental strength to continue to try even after you feel you’ve reached the limits of your abilities.”

It stopped me.
My 92-year-old father recently fell and fractured his vertebrae. He’s been in the hospital over a week now, on what feels like a long road to recovery.

So today, I wrote SISU in large letters with its meaning on the whiteboard wall in his hospital room.

Maybe because sometimes, when life feels hard, we need something simple to hold onto.

It got me thinking about how much weight a simple word can carry.
A four-letter word can become a mantra. Something we repeat to ourselves in a difficult moment, and almost instantly reconnect with the bigger meaning behind it.

And perhaps many of us could use a word like Sisu right now.

These are heavy and uncertain times for many. We don’t always know what’s ahead, and sometimes we simply have to find the strength to keep moving through what’s in front of us.

So I’m sharing this little word today.
SISU.
Four letters.
A much bigger meaning.
The courage to keep going.
The strength to try again.
The willingness to take the next step, even when you don’t know exactly how you’ll get there.
Reminding us that there is still more strength within us than we realize.
Perhaps you need it.
Perhaps someone you know does.

AVANZA is getting closer. 🌿✨
I just booked my airfare today, and suddenly it feels very real… Colombia, here we come.

AVANZA is more than a retreat. It is an invitation to release what has been stuck, reconnect with yourself and create space to move forward.
