If you're hands-on, safety-minded, and want to build an amazing career while working at a world-class Olympic venue, we want you to apply!

As a Refrigeration Operator Apprentice, you'll train alongside experienced operators and technicians to install, maintain and repair the refrigeration and facility systems that keep the track running, all above Whistler Village on the side of Blackcomb Mountain.

It's a 2-year apprenticeship that grows your skills toward becoming a certified refrigeration operator, with paid study time and certification costs covered.

A few things that come with the job:

→ $23.00/hour to start, with raises tied to your study and certifications

→ Paid courses, with fees, exams and certifications covered by WSL

→ Affordable staff housing for full-time employees

→ Health benefit coverage (based on length of service)

You'll need your Ammonia Safety Awareness Certificate (or be enrolled), a high school diploma, a valid BC Class 5 license, and you must be 19 or older. Regular full-time, with varied shifts including weekends, evenings and overnights.

Today we celebrate Jane and her extraordinary career in skeleton as she officially retires from competition.

A three-time Olympian, four-time World Cup medallist, and Crystal Globe winner, Jane has been a cornerstone of Canada's national skeleton program. Her dedication to excellence has defined her journey and inspired athletes across the country.

Throughout her career, Jane called Whistler home, training and competing at the world-renowned Whistler Sliding Centre. With the support of the British Columbia Bobsleigh Skeleton Association, she helped elevate the sport while showcasing Whistler as a leading destination for high-performance athletics.

Jane's impact goes far beyond results. Her resilience, leadership, and passion have strengthened the sliding community and left a lasting legacy on and off the track.

Thank you, Jane, for everything you have given to the sport. Wishing you all the best in this next chapter. You will always be part of the Whistler sliding family.
