Thinking about trying Summer Bobsleigh in Whistler?

If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to ride a real bobsleigh, how it works, or whether you can actually try it yourself, here’s a quick breakdown to help you plan your visit.

What is Summer Bobsleigh?
It’s a passenger ride in a bobsleigh on wheels, driven by a trained pilot on the Whistler Olympic sliding track. You’ll start with a safety orientation and guided track walk, then ride through the track’s twists and turns at speeds of up to 90 km/h.

Is it on ice?
No. In summer, the sled runs on wheels over the track’s concrete base. It’s the same Olympic track and curves, just adapted for warm weather.

Who can do it?
No experience is needed, and it’s designed for first-timers, families, and anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind Whistler experience. Participants must meet age and safety requirements.

When does it run?
June 12 to September 13, 2026, Wednesday through Sunday.

It’s one of the only places in Canada where you can try bobsleigh, and one of the most unique ways to experience Whistler in the summer.
