In 2006, the BC Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association was created to manage the provincial development of both bobsled and skeleton. Prior to 2006, there had been only one track available to Canadian athletes, located in Calgary at the Canada Olympic Park, home of the 1988 Olympic Games.
