A community of riders looking to improve their riding (Boards/Bikes)
Rainy day so I went to the gym!
Front brake control:
Today we’re developing awareness around the bite point of the front brake.
This control ensures you are in absolute control of your speed down any surface.
Jumping Pt 3
Squashing
Higher speed
Release the press earlier before the lip to keep the trajectory low.
This process helps your brain collect data on what’s the appropriate speed range for the jump and is the pre requisite for learning tricks, scrubbing, and being able to build to bigger jumps. The process is also scale able to different terrain.
If you’re looking to improve your riding and want a coach to help curate your runs, and hold your technique accountable please let me know with a message.
Calibration of speed. High and deep, but not too deep. This is the optimum speed and pop for tricks because you have the most hang time to execute but still land safely on a downslope in order to carry speed in to the next jump.
Finally back in the park. First laps of the season!
Higher trajectory through a better connection with the lip. Each lap it gets easier to pressure the wheels all the way through the lip. Maximizing the height of the trajectory. On these steep faces it requires more speed because you travel upward more than forwards.
Add a little variation at a time.
Reminding myself how to get back to this.
