Black Belt Ceremony

Our candidates Aiden and Joshua are officially graduating to hold the ranks of first degree black belts!

We would love for you to come and show your support for our Graduates during their ceremony!

When: Saturday June 20
Times:
- Doors open at 1:30 pm
- Doors close at 2:00 pm
Where: Whitby Legion (117 Byron Street)

Seating is on a first come, first serve basis
Tickets are a pay what you can at the door

Recently the 2026 Black Belt Candidates completed their final pre-test! They have shown they understand and can demonstrate all the curriculum needed to earn their first degree of black belt!

The Saturday morning crew, consisting of, the leadership team, competition team, Black belt candidates and high performance athletes, took a moment together as a team to reflect on their achievements, challenges overcome, milestones and gratitude.

The candidates have also completed their team building weekend. Now they prepare for their final day of testing where it is all about demonstrating indomitable spirit, the final principle of black belt. Wish them good luck while their finish off their final testing!

Whether you are a NEW, BEGINNER, NOVICE or an experienced sparring athlete, this is a great opportunity to develop your sparring skills. Footwork, distance, timing, creating your openings: lots of skills you can refine at the blitz.

THE BROOKLIN BLITZ

The Blitz is a developmental training tournament that will help athletes level up their sparring game. Whether new, novice or experienced, this is a great opportunity to develop your sparring skills.

The goal of the Blitz is to help grow our sport and support our community. That is why we have teamed up with the feed The Need Durham to fight hunger in our community Make sure to bring a non-perishable item to donate.
