Next up for National Coaches Week is a Q&A Coach Feature, with Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame Inductee, Bob Caldwell!

From Deloraine MB, Bob Caldwell is an alumni of the Brandon Bobcats Hockey Program, who has dedicated over 5 decades to hockey as a coach, mentor, and volunteer 🏒⛸️

Bob Caldwell will be officially enshrined as a Builder during the Hall of Fame Ceremony on October 3, 2026!🏅

Hockey Manitoba would like to extend a HUGE congratulations to Bob, and we thank him for his many years of service and dedication to our sport! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

🚨Attention Officials🚨

This week's Hockey Canada Rule of the Week covers a new goaltender safety procedure for U13 and below.

When a goaltender is struck in the head by the puck, officials must stop play as soon as it is safe to do so, allowing a brief moment to see whether the puck enters the goal directly. The video explains when a goal can still be allowed, when play must be stopped immediately, and why patience with the whistle matters when applying the new rule.
