You’ve heard an earlier bedtime will fix those 5am wakes…
but what if your baby’s just getting all the sleep they need by 5am? 👀
Here’s what I mean:
🫶 but first, follow for holistic (zero sleep training) baby sleep help
Now, here’s what I mean:
Most 6-month-olds sleep around 12–15 hours in 24 hours…
So if your baby naps for 3 hours during the day and you’re aiming for 7pm–7am overnight…
that’s 15 hours total (the very top end of average).
It’s more likely your baby needs closer to 13 hours.
So if you’re seeing 5am wake-ups, it may just be that your baby has had all the sleep they need by 5am - and it might be time to adjust naps a bit.
✨ The goal isn’t always more sleep - it’s the right amount for your baby.
